I'm in love! I'm in love! And I don't care who knows it!

On April 28, 2012, Austin Terry proposed to me!!

The ring :)

He's so proud!

At the LDS Seattle temple

Merely seconds before he proposed!

The proposal spot.

Where the geocache was hidden.

The park!

How it happened:

It was Aubrey and Tucker's wedding day. Aubrey is Austin's sister. We were in Sumner, Washington for the reception and after everything was over and we were about to clean up, Austin's dad asked him if he could pick up a key they needed that they forgot. I assumed it was probably to put some things away from the reception. So we got ready to drive back to the house to get that key and come back to the church building when all of a sudden, Austin couldn't find his keys!
We knew his brother had them but had no idea where he was! Well, we finally found him and got the keys to the car. Austin suggested we go look for a geocache that was nearby the church building. We have geocached before up in Rexburg and really enjoyed it. I thought it would be cool to find one in Washington. The geocache we were aiming to find was located at a nearby park.
When we got there, we started walking around and I pulled up my geocaching app to see if we were getting close. I had an inkling that it would be hidden in a big tree that was on our left but Austin said we should look by this other tree which was just a tall stump. There was a little crevice at the bottom and we finally found a white container. As I got ready to take a picture of Austin with the geocache, he opened it up and handed me a piece of paper which I thought was the geocache log where you write your name and the date that you found it. I opened up the piece of paper and I was surprised to see my name written on it, "Nicki, will you marry me?!"
I was in shock and couldn't stop staring at the piece of paper but I finally looked up at Austin and he was holding a ring in his hands as he asked me verbally the same question. I said YES! It was absolutely perfect and he was even conveniently dressed in a nice tux.

We are getting married on August 10, 2012 in the LDS San Diego temple for time and all eternity :)
