Austin got to come down to San Diego on May 18-20. It was his first time in California and it was also the shortest visit ever! We just went through three weeks without seeing each other since we were in Washington together and got engaged. It was a pretty crazy day of travel for Austin that Friday coming down to SD and I just felt so bad that he had to wait for so many hours at all the airports he had to go through! Finally by midnight, Austin and my dad got to our house and my fiance and I were finally reunited. I could tell my mom was also pretty anxious for Austin to get here too. We talked for a bit in the kitchen and even got to open up my temple time capsule.

I made my temple time capsule when I was 13 for a mutual activity in 2005. It included things like a picture of what I wanted my wedding dress to look like, my wedding colors, names for my future children, a letter to my future husband, a candle, a fake white rose, wedding bubbles, a picture of myself that year, and a letter from my bishop. It was really getting to look through that can that's been collecting dust that I've had in my closet for so many years with my fiance. A week or so before Austin came, he got the letter I mailed him. The letter was for my future husband and I wrote it when I was about 15 or 16 in Young Women's class. It was so surreal hearing Austin read those letters because I finally had the opportunity to give them. It's sometimes hard to believe that I am getting married but it is definitely an exciting time in my life and I know that Austin is the person I want to have a family and spend the rest of eternity with.
Our only full day together was Saturday and our day was filled with engagement pictures at Sunset Cliffs, wedding registry, Filipino food, and my good friend Jessica's wedding. I spent every moment I could with Austin and made sure to savor all of that time before he had to leave the next morning to get back to school.
Although his trip was so short and we are apart again for 10 weeks, it was still worth it to see him :)
This one's our favorite :)
