Sadly, it is sitting in a box in my family's garage so we still don't have it here yet. Pinterest was taunting me with delicious slow cooker recipes that I was dying to try out and so luckily our friends, the Shilligs, let us borrow one of their crockpots this past week!
I was super excited to try something out and that is what I want to share with you in this post! Today, I made barbecue chicken in the crockpot. Crockpots are so fun because you hardly have to do anything and it is wonderful. The barbecue chicken consisted of chopped red onion, 4 chicken breasts, sweet baby ray's barbecue sauce (yum), garlic, and pepper. Seriously, so easy. I turned it on mid-morning and let it slow cook while we were at church. The chicken got so nice after cooking for awhile and I was able to pull it apart so easily!
Another thing I made (last minute because I forgot that we needed to use up our potatoes), was parmesan roasted potatoes. I whipped out my laptop and looked up "roasted potatoes" on the ever-so handy dandy Pinterest. I immediately found a super easy recipe for Parmesan Roasted Potatoes from Chicho's Kitchen:

All it takes is:
1/3 cup parmesan
1 tsp paprika
salt & pepper
minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
4 potatoes
Here's how mine turned out:
They were super delicious too!
Our Sunday dinner consisted of pulled barbecue chicken, vegetables and parmesan roasted potatoes and it was delicious. Oh, and I love cooking in my cute apron that my mother in law made for me :)

You can also use your oven like a crockpot for most recipes. I used to put everything in a glass 9x13 and cover it with tinfoil. Turn your oven on a low heat, like 200* and you're good to go! Love the apron!
